Halifax Bank of Scotland
In October 2002, Halifax Bank of Scotland (HBOS) opened a new and innovative
commercial insurance broking centre in Leeds, employing over 50 staff.
HBOS chose the Acturis Broker Platform following a full evaluation of
the systems available on the market.
Scalability
Jerry White, Managing Director, comments, “Acturis has many key
benefits for us, the first being scalability. Our unit is growing rapidly
as we begin to penetrate the bank’s customer base and the Acturis
ASP model allows us to double or triple our staff levels without having
to worry if our server can handle such an increase in capacity. Acturis
gives us flexibility and instant scalability.”
Flexibility
“The open architecture of the Acturis model also allows us far greater
operational flexibility”, adds Jerry White. “Our client facing
staff are able to access the system from home, which reduces the amount
of dead time that they have to spend in the office. In addition we are
able to develop effective linkages with the HBOS bank branches, which
vastly increases the potential for us to cross-sell from bank branch customers.
This is redefining the limits of our growth potential.”
Efficiency
“The Structured Risk capture process whereby risk information is
captured in a structured fashion enables us to ask the right questions,
and instantly create submission forms and registers – without any
re-keying! This saves a tremendous amount of time and improves the efficiency
of our processes.”
Management Information
Jerry White concludes, “The Acturis Broker Platform also provides
us with a powerful set of reports, which allow us to truly monitor the
effectiveness and compliance of what we do. Instant access to our key
business indicators is critical to us in managing a fast growing business.”
Halifax Bank of Scotland has been live on the Acturis Broker Platform
since October 2002 and is shortly doubling its number of users. |
