What is the Acturis Broker System?

Acturis is a system for commercial brokers and underwriting agencies.

- How much does it cost?

The cost is based on a simple 'per user, per month' formula, which varies depending on the size of the customer.

- How many brokers are using the service at present?

The system has over 4,150 users at 250 sites across the UK. The Quote & Buy product was rolled out to our first broker in autumn 2007. Our next release in the second quarter of 2008 will allow us to roll the same model out to underwriting agencies that operate in the B2B arena.

- How will this benefit a broker's business?

Quote & Buy allows brokers to grow their business, without having to increase their staff or premises overheads.

- Have you received any feedback on the service?

The best feedback that we have had to date has been from the industry itself. Acturis received the Service Provider of the Year award at the British Insurance Awards in July 2007, in addition to several other awards. Our user group also provides us with a great deal of feedback, allowing us to plan and prioritise future system developments.

- Are there any future developments planned?

Acturis releases, on average, two new major products a year, and these are rolled out to all our customers without charge. Sometimes optional services are also made available in a new release. For example, our latest release has enabled us to fully integrate our system to a broker's website, allowing them to generate new business across personal lines, small to medium-sized enterprises, commercial and bespoke schemes. A customer accessing the broker's website can bind business, make payments and receive documentation, without any effort by the broker. The Acturis system is then updated automatically.
