Jelf Group Plc has chosen Acturis as its core broking system providing a single integrated IT platform across the enlarged insurance business, following the Group’s recent acquisition of Goss & Co. This decision was taken despite Jelf Insurance Brokers Ltd currently being powered by Misys and Goss & Co (Insurance Brokers) Ltd using Sectornet. Given the Jelf Group’s acquisition strategy and its distinctive approach to delivering an unrivalled proposition across a broad range of services to clients, an effective IT system capable of large scale and effective migrations of data is fundamental. In arriving at this decision, the Group undertook a rigorous tender and selection process which included a comprehensive system requirement evaluation, numerous visits to other multi-office systems users to measure efficiency, as well as an in depth commercial risk assessment. Acturis developed the proposal in close partnership with the Group’s IT project team led by Jerry Wilson, Managing Director of Goss & Co (Insurance Brokers) Ltd. The project concentrated specifically on management information, document imaging and workflow processes with the aim of improving client service and overall productivity within the enlarged insurance business. The result will be an innovative system offering advanced capability, service and connectivity with clients and insurers alike. Theo Duchen, CEO of Acturis, said: “We are pleased to be able to implement a detailed strategy with the Jelf Group in line with its client-centric approach. This is one of our largest projects, with almost 200 users over eight sites and we are confident of its success.” Jerry Wilson, managing director of Goss & Co (Insurance Brokers) Ltd, explained: “Customer service is central to our approach. We were very impressed by Acturis’ understanding of what we require and the appropriately tailored platform it creates. Acturis worked with us as a business partner and facilitator, helping to identify and drive out inefficiency – this product will make the back-office functions more streamlined, compatible and easier to manage, leaving more time for the client.” The project will be rolled-out across the company from September 2006, with a view to completion by April 2007. - Ends -
