Acturis announces significant enhancements to its broker system
14 April 2003
On the 14th April 2003, the Acturis Broker Platform was enhanced with a significant new release of functionality, re-writing the rules about what a system can do for a broker.
The new release included the following benefits, which became instantly available to Acturis brokers without charge:
Scanning - the ability to operate a paperless office with a free document storage and retrieval module that links straight to standard scanners, without the need to invest in separate and expensive scanning/document storage solutions
Advanced task management and workflow - tools to create bespoke workflow process paths for different teams and classes of business so that users are reminded automatically of critical dates to manage important issues such as compliance, new business and business retention
Office Integration - full integration with Microsoft Word and Outlook to provide brokers with a fully integrated business solution, minimising re-keying between different applications
Advanced Batch functionality - the ability to create and manage batch letter and statement production in a seamless process
BACS Integration - both payments and collection
Theo Duchen, co-CEO at Acturis comments, "This new Release is the embodiment of the vision we have had for the last two and a half years.
The system will make Acturis brokers far more efficient and compliant and this, coupled with the work we have already done on insurer integration for commercial and personal lines,
makes Acturis the market leader in terms of functionality for commercial and scheme orientated brokers and networks of all sizes".
Paul Meehan, Managing Director at Smart and Cook, added, "Yet again Acturis has delivered a promised system advancement, to deadline and specification. Although Release 2 is only a few weeks old, my team are already enjoying and commenting on the improvement.
With issues such as compliance looming, Acturis has provided us with an IT solution for the future."
