Swinton Business, the commercial broking division of Swinton Group has selected the Acturis Broking Platform after a competitive tender process.
Swinton's decision to seek a dedicated commercial broking system follows sustained growth in its commercial division since it was established in 2004.
Swinton Business now employs over 80 staff and deals with very high volumes of SME business across a diverse range of market sectors.
The broker will utilise Acturis' many features to bring about benefits such as the ability to quickly compare products from up to nine specialist SME insurers across 13 classes of business and enable handlers to seamlessly manage the entire customer lifecycle from enquiry through
to policy and subsequent renewal.
Acturis will also be tailored to integrate with a number of Swinton Business' existing reconciliation systems.
Paul Cassidy, head of information systems development at Swinton, said, "We are sending a clear signal to the market with this development that Swinton is serious about commercial business and it is a core pillar of our future growth strategy.
We have been delighted by the response and support from our insurer partners regarding our plans".
Theo Duchen, co-CEO of Acturis, concluded, "Acturis is thrilled to add a broker of Swinton's stature and reputation to our portfolio of customers.
The potential within Swinton is enormous and we will be working very closely with our new partner to allow them to maximise the full potential of the Acturis Broking Platform and develop their business as a result".
In early 2007 all 80 members of Swinton Business staff will go live on Acturis in what will be another major step forward in the development of Swinton's expanding commercial business division.
