Fortis has launched additional functionality for renewals on its Acturis commercial electronic products.
Fortis said that this additional functionality now provides brokers with full cycle capability on all Fortis’ products having launched new business and mid term adjustment functionality earlier this year.
Fortis has five commercial package products on the Acturis system with functionality of new business, mid term adjustments and now renewal: ‘Shopkeepers, including hair and beauty risks’, ‘Office & Surgery’, ‘Property Owners, residential and commercial’, ‘Homeworkers’ and ‘Semploy Extra’, which includes professional trades as well as contractors.
Fortis said that the functionality has been built on the imarket comparative products, and consequently will also be made available for the Fortis products on other software houses as soon as their own development is ready on renewals.
Adam Clarke, underwriting director, Fortis, said: “We’re delighted to be one of the first insurers to deliver its products on a full cycle basis on Acturis. The commercial market is a key focus for us and we are striving to ensure our products are widely available and easily accessible online to our brokers in the market place. Our joint venture with Acturis is a testament to this dedication.”
Simon Ronaldson, sales and marketing director, Acturis, said "We are delighted to be working with Fortis to support the delivery of their growing commercial propositions through our e-trading platform to provide new business opportunities and improved services to our brokers. With the exciting introduction of full cycle functionality to the platform, this makes Fortis one of the leading insurers of commercial e-trading in this area. We look forward to growing our business with Fortis in the future."
