Apprentice Desktop Support Analyst (Level 3)

The Role

As 1st line Apprentice Desktop Support Analyst you will embark on a Level 3 IT Solutions Technician Apprenticeship, whilst working in our Network Operations Centre (NOC) where you will:

  • Be the first point of contact for all inbound internal colleague calls / in person requests and tickets logged in our service desk system
  • Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems and applications
  • Assist in monitoring and maintaining services central to PC support e.g. Antivirus systems, Windows updates, windows deployment, device use etc
  • Escalate Tickets and issues to appropriate engineers
  • Unlock accounts in Active Directory and perform other tasks in Active Directory
  • Using predefined processes, process new joiners and leavers

Technologies you will be using and maintaining include:

  • Microsoft System Centre Configuration Manager
  • Microsoft Deployment Toolkit
  • Microsoft Server 2016 and Windows 10
  • Atlassian products (Jira Service Management, Confluence)
  • Networking: Cisco Switches, Switches, DHCP, TCP/IP, DNS, Wireless WAN
