Pet Protect went live earlier in 2021 using the Acturis-owned NIS cloud-based system for policy and claims administration, with digital quote and buy sales solutions, integration to all the major pet insurance comparison websites and a customer online portal for policy servicing and claim notifications.

Pet Protect, launched in 1983, is a well-established provider of pet insurance products for cats & dogs in the UK. They specialise in lifetime cover for vet fees for accidents, illnesses and conditions as well as offering a condition bound insurance product. They offer cover and expert service that is completely dedicated to insurance for pet health and animal welfare.
The Acturis Group acquired the NIS platform in 2014 and Pet Protect has become the second UK pet insurer to launch on the system as Acturis look to broaden their market reach with the flexible NIS system.
