Commercial premiums continue to rise with increases across the board.
In 2022, the Acturis Commercial Broking Index experienced the largest year-on-year increase since the inception of the index in 2010. The 2022 value was 4.5% higher than 2021, by far the greatest year-on-year movement to date. While this represents a significant increase in the cost of commercial insurance, inflation in the wider economy has reached double digit figures this year, meaning this increase in the Commercial Broking Index remains lower than inflationary levels.
