The Acturis Commercial Broking Index experienced the largest year-on-year increase since its inception this year. The 2023 value of the index was 5.4% higher than in 2022. Each constituent class of business in the index has seen premium increases for the first time in several years, with the most notable being Property Owners, which experienced double-digit growth in premium values. Other classes of business within the index with a property component (Packages and Commercial Combined) have seen notable premium increases, as has Fleet for the first time since the Covid-19 pandemic.
