Jack’s Acturis journey

I joined Acturis in 2016 after graduating from the University of Birmingham with an MEng in Chemical Engineering. As a new graduate, I was looking for a role where I could learn and take on responsibilities.

The recruitment process was straightforward, giving me a great introduction to both the company and the people. Shortly after applying, I completed GMAT tests and interviews with a few team leaders. Before I knew it, I was joining the London office.

I started as a Technical Business Analyst in the Web Team, working across a variety of projects and developing skills in SQL, JavaScript, CSS, Jira, and other technologies. As Acturis continued to grow, I had the opportunity to work on projects in France and Canada, gaining valuable international experience.

I have progressed from a graduate hire to a Project Manager leading client-facing projects internationally. One of the highlights of my career has been supporting Acturis’ expansion into France, where I relocated and became part of the growing French team. The opportunities to take on new responsibilities and continue developing have been a constant throughout my time at Acturis.

Outside of work, Acturis offers a fantastic social environment, with regular team events and a wide range of interest groups. I’ve enjoyed activities such as football and climbing, which have been a great way to meet colleagues, try new things, and build friendships across the business.
