Acturis has been listed as one of the top two UK cloud companies in Cloudex20:20, a list of the country’s top 20 independent cloud computing businesses, as released by advisory firm Clearwater Corporate Finance. The list, dubbed Cloudex 20:20, was compiled based on a variety of criteria, including innovation, the amount of income derived from the cloud, customer base, turnover and profit growth. The list includes a mix of companies who the judges believe lead the cloud computing field.
In a close run finale on the evening of 9th September, Acturis was named as one of the top two companies in the UK in the Cloudex 20:20 list, with the judges recognising the benefits that could be achieved through a true end to end SaaS solution in a vertical industry such as insurance providing significant benefits to multiple participants. Acturis has developed its multi-tenanted cloud solution from the ground up with the Software as a Serivce concept at the forefront of its design.
Emma Rogers of Clearwater, a member of the judging panel comments “The market for cloud technologies continues to grow as businesses realise the huge benefits of using the cloud. It was an honour to showcase some of the most innovative businesses that are among the fastest growing in the sector.”
Theo Duchen, Co-CEO of Acturis adds ‘Acturis has won many industry awards in the past but this award is different, it is a recognition of the SaaS deployment model that Acturis pioneered in the UK insurance industry. Initially sceptical, the industry has come to embrace the concept because of the huge benefits it provides over more traditional deployment models. We are extremely proud to be recognised as a top cloud company in the Cloudex 20:20 list.
