Rees Astley champions digital change with Acturis

Acturis announces that Rees Astley Insurance Brokers, the Wales-based specialist broker, has partnered with the award-winning insurance software provider to seize the power of its cloud-based digital solutions.

This announcement follows Acturis replacing Open GI as the software provider for Howard Insurance Services, JRT Insurance Brokers, and R McGee Isurance Brokers in July 2019.

The independent broker, a member of Willis Towers Watson Networks, with offices in Aberystwyth, Newtown and Shrewsbury, selected to migrate to Acturis in order to add long-term value and resiliency to the firm through the integration of all business aspects in a digital transformation.

With 50 years of history and experience, Rees Astley had formerly been using Open GI and previously Misys. Today, the broker required the latest technology to support continuous growth, improve processes and deliver enhanced digital customer experience.

Steve Sadler, Director at Rees Astley commented:

“We have only known one computer system and it was deeply embedded in our business, so it was a big decision for us to move to Acturis. With the assistance of the Migration Team, Acturis made the move as painless as we could have expected. Compared to the old system, Acturis offers us exciting opportunities and we look forward to working with our new partner.”

Taking advantage of the Acturis SaaS platform, Rees Astley will benefit from advanced automated workflows and integrated communications that increase efficiency while ensuring consistency and data integrity across all users.

An important element of the broker’s decision to move to Acturis was the platform’s market-leading online trading capabilities which facilitate a wide range of products across both commercial and personal lines.

Additionally, the broker will deploy Acturis Mobile, the native mobile app that provides staff with remote access to real-time accounts, policy and sales information. This flexible tool aligns to today’s working practices and helps the broker drive digital strategy.

Putting customer expectations at the centre of their strategy, Rees Astley will also leverage Acturis Web solutions. This will ensure an omni-channel distribution that will enable the broker to provide a powerful digital experience to their customers 24/7.

Jeff McCracken, Sales & Marketing Director at Acturis, commented on this new partnership:

“We are excited to welcome Rees Astley as a partner. Thanks to our continuous investment in technology and innovation, backed by our consistent delivery on our promises, the Acturis suite of digital solutions will allow the newest member of our community to benefit from the largest panel of e-trade products in the market and create added value for their customers. We look forwards to working with the team at Rees Astley to realise their digital transformation, now that they have the technical capabilities in place.”
