The Position

We are seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and hardworking individual with exemplary attention to detail to join our Office Team as a Business Support Assistant. This is a varied role working within our busy office in Birmingham. The position reports into the Office Manager. 

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Provide professional and welcoming meet-and-greet service, being the first point of contact at the reception and answering both internal and external phone calls
  • Handle the bookings of lunches, hotels, taxis and couriers
  • Monitor office supplies and equip the office with stationery and catering
  • Efficiently respond to resolve any issues relating to facilities, supplies and office equipment
  • Oversee the cleaning team ensuring consistent standards are met and raise any changes if required
  • Ensure daily post is sent and distributed
  • Prepare and post company correspondence and documents
  • Accurately e-file company documents, maintain various records and prepare reports
  • Support recruitment activities with recruitment agencies, such as booking interviews and feeding back to recruiters
  • Responsible for Health and Safety through effective operation of day to day policies and procedures, compliance with tests and reviews. Take on role of Health and Safety officer and report any office related issues any problems that can affect health and safety of the staff
  • Basic HR responsibilities, including welcoming new joiners, running office, health and safety tour, issuing access card and supporting any HR engagement activity.
  • Company engagement support such as Summer/Christmas parties and other events
  • Support colleagues in or manage any other ad hoc office tasks or operational activities
